Anniken Hauglie

Anniken Hauglie (born 10 September 1972) is a Conservative Norwegian politician. From January 2010 to October 2013 she was Oslo's Commissioner for social services (''sosialbyråd'') and head of child welfare, substance abuse and social services in the Department of the elderly and social services (''Byrådsavdeling for eldre og sosiale tjenester''). 〔(''Endringer i sammensettingen og ansvarsfordelingen i Oslos byråd'' (Oslo City: Changes in the composition and responsibilities of Oslo city council) January 25 2010 ) (''accessed 30 December 2013'')〕 From 2011 onwards she expanded her responsibilities and became Commissioner for health and social services (''helse og sosiale tjenester'') within the same department, with parliamentary responsibility for Oslo's 15 districts. In October 2013 she became Commissioner for knowledge and education (''kunnskap og utdanning'').
Hauglie has previously worked at the Norwegian Consumer Council and as political advisor to the Minister of Social Affairs in the previous government and has worked as a social policy adviser in the second Bondevik Government (2001-2005) and has worked as a social policy adviser in the Conservative Party's parliamentary group. 〔(Biography on Conservative Party website ) (''accessed 30 December 2013'')〕 She moved from that position in January 2010 to work for Oslo City Council as one of eight Commissioners (''byråder'').
Anniken Hauglie graduated from the University of Oslo in 2000, majoring in sociology, with a minor in political science, philosophy and ethics. She has also qualified in project management (''prosjektledelse'') from BI Norwegian Business School in 2006.
